ABOUT POREIA THEATRE
Poreia Theatre at Victoria, located in the heart of Athens, was established in 1998 by director, actor and translator Dimitri Tarlow. Our diverse repertoire spans a broad range of theatrical productions, from ancient Greek dramas to Shakespearean classics, from timeless works of classical drama to contemporary plays from around the globe, including commissioned works by Greek playwrights. Over the years, Poreia Theatre has collaborated with numerous Greek directors, representing various generations and artistic styles, while internationally acclaimed directors such as O. Koršunovas, C. Grauzinis, R. Jett, and others have introduced their work to Greek audiences through our stage.
Our productions have recieved critical acclaim and have been honored with prestigious awards in Greece. Beyond performances, we offer a rich program of supplementary events, including open discussions, philosophical brunches, artist meet-and-greets, concerts, exhibitions, reading groups, and more. Poreia Theatre’s dedicated audience is composed of theater enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds and age groups, both in Athens and across Greece.
